Smith & Wesson M&P Rebuild kit
This kit is meant to replace vital components in an M&P when parts are worn and malfunctions are becoming the norm.
We've not included several components involved in a typical rebuild, such as a trigger spring, plunger spring, or plunger, which are trigger kit-specific. But this will replenish and refresh your main parts that WE see wear down over time. S&W has a different maintenance schedule calling for replacing parts, which we don't find necessary.
We also make sure the striker, spring cup and striker sleeve are mated correctly without a factory defect in the sleeve that causes striker drag, which can cause light primer strikes.
Kit includes:
OEM Striker assembly parts (pictured with Ghost turbo spring cup)
OEM extractor
OEM extractor spring
OEM extractor roll pin
OEM striker sleeve
Optional parts include:
Ghost Turbo Maritime striker cup (reduces striker drag even further)
Our +P proprietary striker spring (increases striker force)
Optional parts can assist in light primer strikes. However, typical light primer strikes are caused by mistiming of the striker plunger. If using an aftermarket trigger kit, try your OEM plunger first. Our branded plunger can assist in light primer strikes, but purchasing our full AIDS kit typically solves 99% of these issues.
These kits are supposed to be installed by a qualified gunsmith and tested before fielding.
