The biggest complaint we hear about the Surefire X300 series lights is that the switch is too stiff to activate easily. We have come up with a reliable solution to alleviate this issue, using a modified door to perform with far less pressure required to activate the toggle switch. These switches feel very much like the popular Streamlight TLR series once completed, just slightly more stiff (to prevent light AD's).
The normal functions of constant and momentary are retained with this modification. Only the pressure required to activate the switch is changed.
We exclusively use new and authentic Surefire battery door assemblies. We have an option of sending your core X300 battery door for modification, or to purchase one outright. Turnaround time is typically next day for doors sent in for modification. Z-XBC doors are compatible with SureFire X300, X400 and XH30 WeaponLights (Not compatible with the XH50G).

X300 RPM Switch Initial Thoughts
I researched the RPM Switch extensively before deciding to send in a couple of existing units for the upgrade service to try out - and quite honestly, I was skeptical about it. Boy was I wrong! It makes a huge difference in the switch ergonomics, and restored my affinity and sense of confidence for the several X300 lights I own. They even properly reinstalled the PHLster ARC switch levers I had on some of them, and they now look and feel a lot better than my own previous "imperfect" installation attempts. I was also so impressed by Matt's professionalism and proactive communication. He and his team run a world-class organization with an awesome product offering. I ended up sending the rest of my battery cap assemblies and will definitely keep shopping for other products they offer.
