Dynamic Advantage custom spec stainless steel guide rod system for the M&P pistols.
These are a complete one piece, captive, and CNC machined guide rod which are drop-in ready units. The endcap is threaded to accept a stainless Torx tip which is cerakoted black to prevent rust.
Our ISMI flat recoil spring is manufactured of certified materials, heat treated for longer life, shot peened for stress relief and finally calibrated to factory specifications.
The Torx tip is a standardized end cap for these units due to their high torque capacity and lack of potential stripping. Although these cost us more during manufacturing, it allows the end-user longevity.
The absolute best spring on the market for reliability and longevity, being manufactured from chrome Silicon alloy and designed to perform beyond 20,000 compression cycles.
Fits S&W Full Size M&P Models with 5” Barrels for 9mm, .40S&W, .357SIG (Will not fit 5" 2.0 Models)
13lb performs best in most ported or compensated variants. The Carry Comp works very well with this setup. OEM Spec variants with the compensators also work very well.
13lb will allow users to run 115gr to 147gr, as well as 124gr +P and 135gr +P.
We recommend a 14lb spring for carry or duty use. We have NEVER had a malfunction using the 13lb spring, but we have seen the gun become sluggish around the 3k round mark without cleaning. If you are disciplined with cleaning, the 13lb will work for duty use. It's what we run in our guns.
We always recommend using a 14-16lb for duty use due to the +P nature of most rounds. Although we run lower spring rates in our guns, we must recommend a higher spring rate in everyone else's duty pistol.
Recoil spring references for 9mm:
12-15lb - Used for competitive ammunition or pistols that are compensated.
13 - 15lb - Typically where the M&P full size shines most.
16lb - Factory power spring rate
17, 19, 20, 22, 24 LB RECOIL SPRINGS ARE FOR HEAVY POWER AMMUNITION LOADS +p or +p+
