Perfect balance
I ordered both the DNA Collector and Diamondplate backstraps in tan (medium, full size). The DNA Collector strikes the perfect balance between grip and comfort—it’s secure without being overly aggressive. The Diamondplate, on the other hand, was a bit too aggressive for my preference; I found it uncomfortable to hold for more than a few minutes. That said, the quality is excellent, and the customer service was great with fast shipping.

Looks good/not fuctional
The pattern looks good but, there is virtually no grip. It is the concealed carry recommendation and it will not irritate the skin. The palm swell itself has a slippery finish to it. I would definitely return the 2 I ordered. They are essentially not functional for any grip. 1/10 for functionality. Would not recommend.

M&p diamond plate stippled backstrap
Man they weren't kidding when they said these were aggressive. If you are looking to build calluses and palms of steel these are your grips. If not get one of their other textures. Great quality and I got them pretty quick.I am ordering their DNA collector grips for my carry comp next check. Absolutely recommend these grips.

M&P Stippled Backstrap
I’ve always liked my M&P pistols for their reliability and ergonomics, but the factory grip texture never really worked for me. For my preference, it felt a bit too sandpaper-like—either too mild in some conditions or just not the right kind of traction overall. I decided to try a hex-pattern grip upgrade, and the difference was immediate. The texture feels more intentional and consistent, giving me a secure grip without that overly abrasive, gritty feel. It provides solid control while still being comfortable during extended range sessions. After installing it on one pistol and seeing how much it improved handling, I ended up adding the same upgrade to my second M&P as well. At this point, I wouldn’t go back to the stock texture. If you like the M&P platform but aren’t a fan of the factory grip feel, this is definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

No Brainer
This backstrap is absolutely awesome. Picked it up for my new Competitor HD steel frame. Went with the aggressive pattern and love it. Primarily going to be used for USPSA match shooting.
