Breaching Tool Retention - BTR

The Breaching Tool Retention is designed to give users the ability to use hand tools, typically stowed on their person, without giving them up post-breach. 

When the user is done with hand tools, we typically throw them to get back on a gun for entry purposes. This product will allow you retain the tool for interior breaching purposes should the need arise. 

The positive byproduct of this design is one of the dual retention methods used to retain the attachment loop to the tool, which is made of texturized rubber. This equates to more positive control and handling of the tool, even in inclement weather. 

This has been tested for months and numerous iterations have been conceived to source the best materials possible. Thanks to the breachers nationwide who have helped us field the prototypes, giving us the confidence to release this much-needed product to other breachers who depend on their kit working reliably. 

Made with our same shock cord for breaching slings, this setup allows the user to stretch and use the tool when needed. Using this material also allows for a streamlined stowing capacity when not in use, which reduces unwanted snag points.

Measure the length and diameter of the tool handle for an accurately sized handle cover to be shipped to you. This should be as precisely measured as possible and NOT estimated. The bolt cutter option is for those who wish to have both handles covered with textured rubber material.

The materials used for the lanyard loop on the tool are impervious to the elements and fire. Using shrink tube and a knot will prevent fraying from occurring. A flame will not suffice as it will with paracord. 

This device is meant to be used with products that have a shoulder for the lanyard loop to index from. If you are intending to apply to a tool that does not have a shoulder, consider making an indexing point on the tool. We cannot guarantee this product will work without such.
