NVG capable options - For the breachers of the night
This stuff is expensive. We understand it's a niche need in the market, and have tried to keep pricing as low as possible. The materials used to make this are licensed and increased the cost nearly 4x.
After the many who plead for an NVG capable version, we have pumped much time and money into the R&D side of the wheelhouse to bring operators the solution they have been looking for.
The material is still extremely easy to use and load, deploys exactly like our other covers, and is extremely useful in operational settings for a myriad of reasons. Let's dive into it...
We were able to combine a reflective material with the high grade plastics we traditionally use for our EZ Load covers to provide easy loading capabilities. This reflective material is unique, however.
This combination provides a high level of shocktube protection with the added advantage of extraordinary 360 degree, on-axis reflectivity.
In operational terms: it only reflects light back to the original light source. To see its reflective properties requires the individual who is using the IR light to align their eyes with the outgoing IR source to see it. This prevents a broadcasting IR light from taking advantage of it's reflective properties.
This allows individual members on the team to choose whether they take advantage of the extremely high visibility shocktube post-breach.
Don't want to use IR to see the shocktube and prevent tripping hazards? Combine the version one NVG capable option with this cover to acheive the same goal. It requires no IR light and gives a faint glow for all NVG users. Combine this with our breaching Teabag if you wish to retain total light discipline by enclosing the firing system completely.
Why not use the version one NVG capable variant exclusively? Because it DOES require a charge from a UV or bright white light. Realistically, it gives the end user around twenty minutes to take advantage of its glowing phosphor properties, depending on the light source and length of charge.
The version two has reflective properties made into the cover itself, requiring no extra steps if using IR.
Our original shocktube cover has an option to add the NVG version one as a provisional add-on.
Comes only in gray/black
EZ Load tips aid in the loading process and prevent the line from fraying over time. Also much easier to unload spent tubing from the cover.
Loading of a 30ft EZ load line is shown real-time on our YouTube in under 6 minutes.
Suggested with use in conjunction with K-Factor Breaching K-Clip for rapid deployment
